About Kothare Metlab

Our founder and managing Partner Abhay Kothare has rich experience of more than 50 years years in Foundry process, consulting & project report preparation, erection, commissioning of foundry turnkey projects. He has worked on high positions like Works Manager, General Manager, Chief Executive (CEO) & President of Ltd companies before starting consultancy.

He is working as Managing Partner of KOTHARE METLAB for last 20 years in NDT field, specifically in Industrial Radiography of fabrication welds and castings.

He is a graduate of IIT Mumbai, an institute which enjoys worldwide reputation for excellence. He passed out from IIT in 1973 as Metallurgical Engineer.
He is ASNT (American Society for Non Destructive Testing) Level II.
He is also BARC level II. He is designated as Radiation Safety Officer by Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (Govt of India).
He is chartered Engineer certified by Institute of Engineers, Kolkata.

1. Life member of Bharari Asthi Vikalang Sanstha, an NGO committed to welfare of physically disabled and old age disabled persons, with an old age home.
2. A Rotarian since 2006 and Past President of Rotary Club of Dombivli East. Member of Board of Directors for many years.
3. Trusty of Rotary Vikas trust for many years. The trust has developed and manages a 3.5 Acres garden for children and other people in the locality rated as the best in Dombivli. Trust also looks after ROTARY BHAVAN, a 2 storey building, used as community centre as well as marriage & other functions hall.
4. Working honorary on various important positions of District 3142 of Rotary International, as Assistant Trainer, Assistant Governor Etc.
5. Member of IIF, an Institute of Indian Foundrymen for more than 25 years.
6. Life Member of ISNT, Institute of Indian NDT organizations.
7. Life member of NANSO, Institute of Indian Radiography organizations.
